Keep it light: Vessels for Memorial and Remembrance Candles in the Contemporary Jewish Art of the Bezalel school curated by Dr. Shirat-Miriam Shamir and Ido Noy.

I chose to design the memorial candles using emojis. Emojis and especially the ones shaped in human form are small digital images, which are designed to express emotion in electronic communications. I decided upon the emojis to characterize the deceased's figure while simulaneously creating a smile and offering condolences to the individual enduring sad loss.
